No mobile data in Burkina Faso

Authorities in Burkina Faso issued a creed to shutdown access to the Internet through mobile networks for 96 hours starting 20th of November. The following shows how this decision affected traffic and usage through the Burkina Faso Internet eXchange Point and CAIDA IODA, as well as disruptions to accessing services provided by Google and Cloudflare. The pattern reflect the high reliance on mobile data in the country, effectively cutting most of the population of the Internet.
