Internet adoption and resilience are below regional averages in the Maldives and the diversity of retail and transit Internet service provision is very poor. This is perhaps unsurprising given the country’s unique and extreme geography. IPv6 adoption is non-existent and the Top Level Domain, .mv, is not secured. On a more positive note, measures of DNSSEC validation and validation of ROAs for both IPv4 and IPv6 are very high for the Maldives.
